You are: Curious, passionate about Human Resources and eager to begin your career rise. Reporting directly to the Assistant Human Resources Manager, this position provides the opportunity to join a dynamic team focused on productivity improvements, continuous improvement and employee involvement in a unionized environment. The HR Coordinator is a key role as it is the first line of contact for all employees at the Hamilton Confectionary Facility. As the Human Resources Coordinator, you have many responsibilities, including but not limited to: Acting as the first point of contact to assist employees with daily inquires to help resolve concerns Posting positions on external job boards as directed by the recruiter Reviewing resumes for job postings and forwarding high potential applicants to the recruiter Assisting employees with the self-service online tools for updating all employee information Managing the Training Records Database Updating the attendance tracker with employee leaves Coordinating and delivering the orientation program for new hourly employees Producing site communications to improve employee relations and promote employee participation in new and existing programs Coordinating the Service Award program, Retirement activities, and employee social events Administering the Human Resources Information System Participating on various Plant Teams/Initiatives i.e. KSRMP, Training, Scheduling, etc. Grievance investigation gather notes, statements, policy information, etc Arbitration binder preparation for site and company lawyers Demonstrating the following competencies: time management, organizational, action oriented, problem solving, decision making, takes initiative and excellent communication skills
Youll need: Qualifications University degree or college certificate required, preferably in Human Resources or Business New graduate Strong attention to detail A natural customer service orientation Strong verbal and written communication skills Creative problem solving skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and caseloads Excellent listening skills Forward a resume and cover letter to S.
