Case 1

In marriage therapy, a psychologist was treating abusers. Their child died of injuries that appeared to have been inflicted. The psychologist was then summoned to testify before a grand jury investigating the child's death and was asked about the number of sessions he had with abusers. A judge ordered him to testify or be held in jail for contempt of court. The abusers did not want any information from the psychologists' session to be discussed in court.
