Organic Foods Australia is based in Coffs Harbour, NSW.

The business was established in 2010 to cater for a demand for Australian Organic food products. The company has organic certification.

The company manufactures and retails a range of organic, Australian Organic foods including:

  • Organic herbs and spices
  • Organic herbal teas
  • Organic fruit jams and conserves

Currently the business is selling its products through a number of small supermarkets and health stores throughout Australia. The company also has a web site through which products can be ordered through which is not very effective at the moment.

The company currently employs the following staff in its head office: CEO, Operations Manager, Marketing and Sales Manager, Administration Manager and Customer Service Officer.

Around 10 staff members are employed in the factory making and distributing the products.

The company's overall business objectives for the next three years are to increase sales and create brand awareness, develop a broader product range, as well as expand into overseas markets. The company is also considering options for alliance marketing.

The company's target customers are those that enjoy gourmet foods. The age range of Australian consumers buying their products is between 35 and 65. Most of their consumers are health-conscious, care about protecting the environment, and have an average income of $80,000.

As per a recent company performance report, the company has not been doing very well in sales.

As you have been working as Operations Manager of the company, you have been advised by CEO to identify the problem and seek and to lead the solution for the company to bring sales back on the track.

Please perform the following activities: Activity 1: Conduct a Meeting with CEO (Assessor) You are to discuss identified complex issues with CEO of the organisation. During the meeting make sure: Use effective listening Consider audience needs and requirements Confirm the issues identified During the meeting, your Assessor would advise you to find solution and relevant information on at least one complex issue.

Activity 1: Conduct a Meeting with CEO (Assessor)

You are to discuss identified complex issues with CEO of the organisation. During the meeting make sure:

  • Consider audience needs and requirements
  • Confirm the issues identified

During the meeting, your Assessor would advise you to find solution and relevant information on at least one complex issue.

Activity 2: Develop a business Analysis report

You are required to develop a business analysis report which should include following information:

  • Outline the Issues identified
  • Risks involved in pursuing the identified issues
  • Legislative frameworks and organisational policy or procedures applicable to identified issue
  • Objectives of the task
  • Resources required for the solution to the problem

Activity 3: Send an email to Senior Management (Assessor)

You are required to send an email to Senior Management attaching Briefing report with the email.

Introduce and summarise the content of the attachment.

Request for date, time and venue to conduct the ideation session with Senior Management

Write email in professional manner with no grammatical mistakes.

Activity 4: Facilitate the ideation Session with Senior Management (Assessor)

You are to discuss the ideas of increasing sales. Make sure you search all the information before facilitating the ideation session.

Take notes on solutions discussed and evaluated.

You are to discuss the solutions advantages and limitations and choose most viable solution.

Activity 5- Develop a Proposal on proposed solution

You are required to develop a proposal, include following information in the report:

  • Solutions discussed
  • Advantages and limitations of the solutions discussed
  • Most viable solution selected

Activity 6- Send an email to all staff members (Assessor)

You are required to send an email to all staff members attaching proposal with the email.

Introduce and summarise the content of the attachment. Request feedback from staff members on solutions

Write email in professional manner with no grammatical mistakes.

Activity 7- Develop a feedback register

You have also been advised to develop a feedback register to systematically record feedback according to organisational requirements.

Activity 8- Update Proposal

As per provided feedback from Assessor, update the proposal

Activity 9- Send an email to all CEO (Assessor)

You are required to send an email to CEO attaching updated proposal with the email.
