Currently Carmichael$$s Computers uses a variety of separate management information systems to support its business operations; for example, the company uses the Quick Books application to support payroll functions but resorts to Microsoft Access for storing information concerning the company$$s employees and the inventory of products which are in stock and offered for sale by the company. The CEO of the company has decided to use a single computer application, i$.$e$.$ an enterprise resource planning application, which will manage all of the company$$s business functions and workflows.
