Heres the take-away from that meeting. Luca has been terminated for not adequately meeting the reporting needs of the department. Lucia who attended the meeting, is assigneded to answer all your questions. Shes been in the department for 8 years and knows more than she wants you to know about the internal processes. Shes angry she didnt get your position after getting a certificate in database architecture design after a 2 week online course. There are 6 vendors (payables): * Acme HR processing billing $900/mos (Rumor has it they will be raising their fee next month) 15% interest if payment is 30+ days late. The company also owes $800 for this years tax statement processing. * Optimal DB Consulting a one-time bill of $1400 due this month charging 15% interest if not received I n 15 days. * Office Supplies+ needs to be paid this month for $100 Supplies are on a recurring order monthly $50 but they have not invoiced yet. * Amazon Prime Membership $200 due now and $300 on company Visa for new office chairs. * Jays Caf monthly recurring bill $75 for coffee service. The companys contract is up for renewal with a 10% increase for the next year. * Landlord LLC $3000 monthly rent. Ad-hoc Invoiced receivables to date: * Jays Caf owes the company a $20 credit because the donuts were stale last time. * The company provided consulting services to Multi-Corp for $1400, not billed yet. * The company billed Another Big Box Store $2800 for meeting room rental over 2 months. The company Director and department head(s) expect you to provide the following capabilities: * Ad Hoc Reporting THE Director wants to be able to use PgDn/PgUp to scroll backward and forward through the months for a summary of payables and receivables $. * Monthly List of all bills paid and need to be paid in order largest to smallest. * The accounting department needs to be able to add and update or delete the detail data as needed. * Track the individual transaction items, in no particular order, for backup purposes in case the data needs to be restored to the end of last month and reloaded. The transactions for current month-3 gets deleted when the month-end processing for the month-2 is completed. On Thursday March 10th you are scheduled to present your problem solution(s) to the IT department head, Ann Marie Forrester. You are expected to: * List the data structure(s) you plan to use to address each of the business requirements. * Justify your position for the data structure(s) you plan to implement. * Explain how you will create, load, and manipulate the data structure(s) items (i.e. Functions?) * What are the best, average, and worst case complexities for the/each structure? * What would be the optimal sort type if necessary for the data structure(s)? * What is your plan to test the complexity and efficiency of your design? * Who did you bring to the meeting, if anyone?
