The Events:

In late September 2023, Robin Spencer, an enthusiastic photographer, purchased a high-end camera from Electronix Emporium. During the sale, Robin was assured by the store's representative that the camera came with an exclusive five-year warrantya statement that was not documented on the receipt or the stores policy.

Three weeks after the purchase, the camera malfunctioned. When Robin approached Electronix Emporium seeking warranty service, the store declined, citing their standard one-year warranty policy. The sales representative Robin had dealt with initially denied making any claims about an extended warranty.

Distraught by this response, Robin hurried out of the store. In their haste, Robin did not notice a sign warning of a wet floor the sign itself was small and placed inconspicuously. Subsequently, Robin slipped and suffered a leg injury, leading to costly medical bills and missed workdays as a freelance photographer.

Upon further examination, it was revealed that the cleaning services were outsourced to Quick-Clean Ltd., a company that had previously been cited for not following standard safety procedures.

Amidst the chaos, an unknown individual filmed the incident, including Robin's fall, and uploaded the footage to several social media platforms, resulting in widespread negative attention towards Evergreen Plaza.
