Case study: National Health Care Association The National Health Care Association is concerned about the shortage of nurses the health care profession is projecting for the future. To learn the current degree of job satisfaction among nurses, the association has sponsored a study of hospital nurses throughout the country. As part of the study, a sample of 50 nurses were asked to indicate their degree of satisfaction in their work, their pay, and their opportunities for promotion. Each of the three aspects of satisfaction was measured on a scale from 0 to 100, with larger values indicating higher degrees of satisfaction. The data in Table 1 were collected. 90 62 66 84 74 37 87 66 49 84 42 66 72 37 86 72 59 79 85 56 64 63 48 78 88 55 52 71 45 68 84 60 29 74 70 51 88 49 42 73 56 55 85 89 46 72 60 45 94 60 52 79 59 41 Table 1 Work, Pay, and Promotion Job Satisfaction Scores for a Sample of 50 Nurses 88 36 47 90 27 67 69 47 16 Work Pay Promotion Work Pay Promotion. 77 60 75 72 76 37 90 56 23 71 49 58 72 76 37 64 43 61 86 37 59 77 90 51 84 53 63 71 25 74 71 25 74 86 72 72 71 36 55 84 74 37 69 47 16 84 28 62 95 66 52 75 53 92 87 66 49 90 56 23 70 38 54 65 42 68 76 51 54 72 59 79 84 28 62 87 51 57 82 37 54 89 80 64 72 37 86 86 37 59 74 59 82 82 60 56 72 57 40 70 38 54 63 48 78 86 72 72 89 66 62 90 76 70 84 60 29 87 51 57 85 57 67 78 52 72 90 62 66 77 90 51 74 47 63 73 56 55 71 36 55 82 49 91 94 60 52 75 53 92 84 42 66 74 59 82 85 56 64 76 51 54 88 55 52 95 66 52 74 70 51 89 66 62 71 45 68 85 57 67 88 49 42 65 42 68 90 27 67 82 37 54 85 89 46 82 60 56 79 59 41 89 80 64 72 60 45 74 47 63 88 36 47 82 49 91 77 60 64 43 75 61 90 78 76 52 70 72 Managerial Report Use methods of descriptive statistics to summarize the data. Present the summaries that will beneficial in communicating the results to others. Discuss your findings. Specifically, comment on the following questions. 1.
