Description of assignment:

The assignment for our class is an analysis of a publicly traded U.S. corporation. The information for this analysis can come from several sources. First, online resources such as Yahoo Finance, Google Finance, Bloomberg, Market Watch, and others should be used. Second, our text also provides a great deal of information that you can use to help perform a more thorough analysis of your corporation. Third, I encourage you to ask questions of me as we move through the course, and get closer to the submission date of this project.

Criteria:

Length - 4 double-spaced pages (size 12 font, Times New Roman)

-Can be more, but cannot be less

Suggested layout - 3 sections

-Introduction and overview of the company and industry

oTell me the story of the organization and the industry it competes in

-Quantitative analysis

oYour analysis can use any combination of ratios you feel best supports your argument, and can focus on any specific financial statement

-Feedback and projections based on quantitative analysis

oBased on your analysis, what do you think?
