The board of directors for Crude Oil has brought in a new manager, Jim, to revamp the company and increase sales. Jims confrontational and intimidating management style causes many employees to take his abuse silently out of fear of losing their jobs or being demoted. Jims behavior is in direct conflict with the companys most important value to treat everyone with respect. While Jim has increased the companys sales and profits, the salespeople have been intimidated by his behavior. Jim has blamed salespeople for mistakes they didnt make just because he didnt like them. Jim demoted a salesperson who confronted him about his behavior. Jim has even lied about another salespersons health when her sales numbers dropped.
