Catherine organizes a birthday celebration of her 22st birthday with her friends. The group includes 4 people of the same age and two friends who have just turned 17: Ross and Carla. During the first part of the evening, at dinner in a trendy restaurant of Windsor (Ontario) they party shares 2 bottles of wine. Everybody drinks, to celebrate Catherine's birthday. During the second part of the night the party moves to a dance club where more alcohol is consumed. At the end of the night, while going home with his bike Ross loses his balance and falls on the sidewalk, hitting his head. He is taken to the hospital with a serious head injury and the blood work unveils his altered state of drunkenness.
