CDL has come up with a revolutionary new application to help students and faculty find the closest available parking spots to their classes. After installing the application, the user must enter their relevant personal information, as well as their student ID, parking pass number, where and when their classes are, and their estimated time of arrival. There is also a toggle switch to allow the user to mark themselves as eligible for accessible parking permit. If the user does not have a parking pass registered, the application provides a link to the HONK application to allow the user to purchase a permit for the day. The application uses GPS and Google maps to show where the empty spot should be and determine when the user has arrived. Each spot has been equipped with an NFC sensor which the user must tap when they arrive and leave to determine when the spot is vacant.
