Scenario:

You have just been hired as the NEW manager of a local Indian restaurant.

The owner has just terminated the previous manager as the latter had poor decision making, was incompetence, and couldn't monitor his business efficiently.

The Restaurant is facing serious financial problem for the following reasons;

the previous manager has a wage cost of over 50% out of the total wage cost of the restaurant

Due to the previous manager poor management style, kitchen staff turnover is very high and as a result of that, the restaurant had to hire contract chefs which are quite expensive The kitchen is very unorganised and messy

There is no staff training for existing and new staff and;

Nobody has a clear job role and descriptions

The restaurant had invested in a very expensive operating systems but no one has used this system

There is a high rate of absenteeism from staff which is disrupting customer service
