"Challenge for cause": Is a process used during plea bargaining procedures. Was abolished through Bill C-75 (An act to amend the Criminal Code, the YCJA and other Acts). Is a process through which other jury members can elect to exclude certain jurors who they believe are biased. Is a process through which the defence and Crown can ask to eliminate a juror who they argue to be unqualified or biased.
