Chapter 10's Develop Your Skills feature describes how to create a career development plan. It is never too soon to identify your short- and long-term career goals and analyze what skills, experiences, and other things you need to do to obtain your goals. For purposes of this discussion, identify your career goals. Then, create your own career development plan that focuses on one- and five-year time horizons. Your action plan should include realistic and specific activities that you can undertake to enhance your ability to meet the specific career goals you identify. You should be prepared to draw on resources gained here at SJC in the graduate program. You should also focus on how you will assess or measure your own results
