After reading Chapter 5 and watching the two video clips, reflect upon your own biases (Love has no Labels) and the difficulties EL students often face (Math Immersion) and how you will address student diversity in the classroom -- including ethnic diversity, language minority students, religious diversity, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic disparities -- to ensure you create a learning environment where all children feel safe and have the opportunity to learn and grow.
