Chapter 7 of Real Estate Practice is a mind-numbing 49 page explanation of the California Residential Purchase Agreement and Joint Escrow Instructions. As you read the chapter, look up some of the "supporting" paperwork that the chapter reading describes. While reading about the RPA-CA this week in Chapter 7, look up a few of the supporting forms that this chapter 7 makes reference to. For instance, on page 219 of the 9th edition of Real Estate Practice the reading mentions C.A.R. form TDS and C.A.R. form WHSD. Find a chapter reference to a form other than the RPA-CA and research it. It is probable that you can isolate a supporting form, view it on the internet, and then find commentary on how it is used and what to watch out for when you do. Does this make sense? The Chapter 7 reading is the last you will do that involves this amount of legality and detail. We move on to other aspects and of course the mid-term next week. More information on that to follow
