Charlie is employed as a plumber for Thorndon Plumbing Services Limited.Charlie earns around $75,000pa which reflects overtime that he often is required to work.

Charlie's employer has provided him with a Hyundai van which he carries his tools around in.The van cost $38,000 (incl GST) when purchased and is brightly painted with the logo of Thorndon Plumbing Services.

Charlie is allowed to take the van home each night after work and back for the next working day and is not allowed to use it privately otherwise. He is expressly not permitted to use the van privately at weekends without his employer's permission and he must leave it parked at his home. For the quarter 1 April 2020 to 30 June 2020, Charlie used the van as explained above with the following exceptions:

On Saturday 3 April Charlie was called out from his home at 8am to fix a leak in the roof at one of their major customer's warehouses. This warehouse was storing raw materials which had to be stored in a dry environment. The job took 4 hours in the morning. He also took his son to an amusement park in the afternoon using the van with the permission of his boss.

On Friday 1 May Charlie drove to Napier for a plumber's training course which finished on Sunday morning 3 May.Sunday afternoon he drove to Cape Kidnappers for sightseeing and drove back to Wellington on Monday morning 4 May.

On Saturday 6 June Charlie used the van to go on a week's fishing trip which was part of his annual leave. He returned to Wellington on Sunday 14 June. His boss allowed him to use the van on this fishing trip if Charlie paid for petrol which cost him $95.

On Sunday 21 June Charlie's 3 year old son cut himself badly on some broken glass around their home and Charlie used the van to take him to hospital. He told his boss about the incident on Monday 22 June and was told that this private use didn't matter to his boss since it was an emergency.

Required:

Calculate the amount of fringe benefit tax payable in respect of the Hyundai van that Charlie uses in his work for June 2020 quarter.Assume that his employer has not made an election to define a FBT day to start at a time other than 12 midnight.
