Chi-Squared Test - Sink or Swim The sinking of the Titanic has intrigued people, including statisticians for years. One question people have is: Was there anything that predicted whether passengers survived or not? e.g. gender (male, female), nationality (American, British, other), or class (1st, 2nd 3rd) You will choose one of these factors to study, performing a chi-squared test to determine if passenger survival is independent or dependent of your chosen factor. The data for all three are provided on page 2.
