Choose a current societal issue that you care about. This could be an issue of Global, National or Local concern, (eg. climate change, Singaporean innovation policy, local planning, food security, wage inequality, scarcity of resources, etc.). Look through the weekly reflection tasks to identify which perspectives were the most compelling and suitable for the identified issue. Further information can be gathered from the reading list. Your task is to compare and contrast two diverse perspectives relating to the causes of, or solutions to, the chosen issue (refer to topics 1-6 for the perspectives) Attach a concept map to highlight similarities or differences for each perspective. Draw on the concept maps developed in assessment one to inform your thinking. In the article, you can state your opinion based on your critical reflection of the different perspectives. You can also stay neutral and present different perspectives. The personal opinion needs to be informed and supported by your critical analysis of the key concepts of the chosen schools of thought.
