Choose a real-life example of a team, not a group, to use as a reference point for this reflection. I recommend choosing a team from your personal experience, such as a sports team, work team, or virtual team. If you have never been a member of a team as defined in the chapter, choose a team discussed in the peer-reviewed literature.

1. Briefly describe the team, its purpose, and its overall performance (i.e., low, moderate, or high). What behaviors were associated with team members who played a task-specialist role? What behaviors were associated with those who played a socio-emotional role?
2. How did the team develop? Did it develop according to Tuckman's model? How did its development impact its performance? If you could go back in time, how would you have facilitated the team's development to produce better outcomes, and why?
3. Let's examine team cohesion and norms. How cohesive were the team members? How did this level of cohesion impact the team's performance? What were some of the most influential team norms? How did these norms impact the team's performance? If you could go back in time, how would you have developed cohesion and norms to produce better outcomes, and why?
4. Think about a conflict you experienced or witnessed as a member of this team. Briefly describe the conflict and correctly label the "type" of conflict, the "location" of conflict, and whether it was functional or dysfunctional. What were the underlying causes of this conflict? Explain how each of the five styles of handling conflict could have been used to address this conflict.
