Choose two interview subjects, one male and one female who have had family commitments of some kind (e.g. dependent children, elder care etc.)Both of these individuals should be at least 15 to 20 years older than you are. That is, they should have significantly more experience than you do with the challenges of integrating work/life and community. Ask each subject the following questions:

1. When you were a young adult, what were your career aspirations? 2. When you were a young adult, what were your aspirations for your family? 3. As your family commitments developed, did that affect your career? How? 4. (If the subject is working...) As responsibilities at work have grown, how has that affected your family life? 5. Have you ever been engaged in caring for elderly family members or disabled dependents?If so, how did that impact your career and family life? 6. Did you personally experience a disability or chronic illness and if so, how did that impact your career and family life? 7. In what, if any, ways have you been engaged with your community? (e.g. church, politics, school, social clubs, volunteer work etc.)When did these activities begin?How has your work or family life been impacted by your involvement in these activities? How has work and family impacted your involvement in these activities? 8. Did economic challenges play a role in the choices you have made in the areas of work, family or community? If so, how? 9. What changes have you seen in the ways individuals my age approach their work and careers or their involvement with family and community? How does this differ from your approach?

Reflecting on the different work/life/community experiences of your subjects: Compare their perspectives with your own anticipated life course and past experiences. What role did gender seem to play in each of your experiences? What role did socioeconomic status seem to play in each of your experiences? What role did chronic illness or caregiving responsibilities seem to play in each of your experiences? What wisdom can you gain from your reflection and conversation with these two individuals that can inform your choices going forward? In details urgent please
