Choosing one or more of your organization's e-government systems, investigate the general controls that exist by making notes on the following questions:

Running through each of the general controls listed in the readings (hard, soft and hybrid) which of them is being used in theory, and which is not?

Of those being used in theory, which are being used in practice? If you identify a gap between theory and practice, why does this arise?

Of the general controls that are not being used, are there any that should, in theory, and could, in practice, be introduced into your organization's e-government systems?

What barriers exist to the successful implementation of these general controls?
