• Consider an event you have attended recently such as a college or professionalgame, a concert, or acharity event. Map out the logistics tasks needed and their sequence in organizing that particular event.
• Consider an item you have recently returned. Identify the steps the company must take to return the product back up the supply chain from where it came. What costs do you think would be involved in this process. Do you see a way the company can design this reverse logistics process in order to add value and make a profit?
• Describe some of the potential freight applications of these modes of transportation: truck, freight train, Airline, ocean shipping, and river bargetransportation. Give examples where each logistics method would be the best choice.
