Cite and explain the importance and impact of two sections of either IRPA or IRPR on an application for resettlement as a refugee or refugee claim.

Your post should include all of the following:

• Section of each statute or regulation and whether it is found in IRPA or IRPR
• Why the section is important
• How it impacts refugee applications or claims
• What this section will mean for the applicant (for example, eligibility to sponsor, admissibility to Canada, excluded applicants, etc.)

NOTE: While you do not need to include every single subsection of a statute or regulation to illustrate how it is important for refugee claims and applications (some are too long and complicated, and should be broken up), you should avoid doing the bare minimum. For example, if you are discussing eligibility requirements to be a sponsor, you should not attempt to base the two parts of your discussion post on the requirements to be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, and to be 18 years old; instead you should discuss all of the basic requirements which need to be met by a sponsor as one of the sections of IRPA or IRPR.
