Climate change has become a global concern due to its severe consequences on people, biodiversity and natural resources. Different factors contribute to climate change, such as the emission of greenhouse gases. China is known as the world's most significant emitter of greenhouse gases due to its increasing urbanization and economic growth. The study investigates the relationship between industry operations and greenhouse gas emissions by measuring the direct greenhouse gases emitted by every company in China. The study sampled 128 companies within different industries in China. Using regression and bivariate analysis, the study has concluded that firm size and company revenue generation are associated with greenhouse gas emissions. This is because as the firm increases, its operations increase, hence causing more emissions. Therefore, the government of China should develop policies to restrict companies' emissions of greenhouse gases. This will help reduce climate change, hence protecting the environment
