Clydes cleaning supplies makes a liquid industrial cleaner for the ship building industry. The ingredients for the liquid cleaner pass through:

  • the Mixing department where all ingredients are added and blended
  • the Bottling department where the cleaner is put into bottles.

Information for the Mixing department for May is as follows:

UNITS:

Beginning work-in-process 20,000 litres

Units started during May 540,000 litres

Units completed in May 530,000 litres

Beginning work-in-process direct ingredients $14,000

Beginning work-in-process conversion $5,640

Direct ingredients added during month $350,000
