COSTS:
Beginning work-in-process direct ingredients $14,000
Beginning work-in-process conversion $5,640
Direct ingredients added during month $350,000
Conversion costs added during the month $230,000
Beginning work-in-process was 50% complete as to conversion. Direct ingredients are added at the beginning of the process. All conversion costs are incurred evenly throughout the process. Ending work-in-process was 60 percent complete.
Required:
- Using the weighted-average method determine
- the total cost of litres transferred-out to the Bottling department during May
- the total cost of ending inventory in the Mixing department at the end of May.
