They way marketing ethic codes provide guidance on how to be honest with advertising by not creating false promises with products or services and overall, encouragingtransparency with consumers. Ethical practices allow trust from your consumers. This is done by again, not lying to consumers or hiding necessary info from them.
Service marketing is when the consumer is influenced by other people and marketing is based on an intangible product. Service marketing is used when the service is created and create an experience for the end consumer. This means that ethics in marketing is super important because the service can only be consumed in the moment. This means that there is more risk for the end consumer (Forsey, 2020). An example of this would be a B2C relationship, which means aservice like a financial service is being sold to the customer.
Understanding your audiences' values and promoting environmentally friendly products or services are other marketing ethics that play a huge part in Conscious Capitalism (Patpatia, 2023). Being honest and caring about proper values that support human beings and the environment are tactics that are highly favored over being deceiving with bad marketing tactics. These ethics are especially important regarding marketing for services because people want to ensure that they are investing their money into a service that minimizes risk for themselves and emulates honesty and compassion.
