For instance, in a business they are rules that determine ways through which a business is conducted as it strives achieve their goals and objectives.

Privacy is the most common ethical issue raised when discussing employers who use internet information concerning their employees. Employees fail to enjoy online privacy since their employers have an ethical obligation to monitor their work activities such as to safeguard property rights, control employee performance, and secure employees from workplace nuisance.

As an employee, you are supposed to show loyalty to your employer as well as not commenting in a negative way to your employer. All though, use of social media sites while at the workplace by the use of the personal device for instance, during break times. This should be conducted in such a way that the person who reads will not think that the employee is talking on behalf of the company. The use of social media at working hours should be limited.

Employers are obliged to certify that employees acknowledge the conditions of sharing the information through the internet, where the needs arise to share any concerns or complaints concerning the work, and what type of activities is regarded to be in line with employer's values.

Making employees acknowledge the potential integrity and reputational threats of social media carelessness is important in avoiding any ethical gap. On the contrary, employers are supposed to make clear to their workers that if they want to comment on any ethical wrongdoing within their organization they should use appropriate speak up channels instead of posting to social media.

Each employer is required to address how employees use social media in non-company use, personal use, and how cautious they are when posting harmful information of the company and its workers.Additionally, the employer should consider how the company and its employees use social media for business purposes in an accountable way.
