Third, the information available in scattered sources is not accessible to the average person, and even if this information is amassed, it is insufficient to inform the consumer of existing harms." (Page 518) All three of her reasons for eco-labels are very important, but the second, consumers autonomy, I feel is the strongest argument. Eco-labels would provide important information that consumers would need to make their best decisions, giving the consumer autonomy.
