- Risk return trade off is a principle I consider frequently, even at the grocery store. I always like to get the best price based both the external value and intrinsic value the product will bring. I have recently started dabbling in the stock market and risk return trade off is quite literally applicable because I don't want to place funds in a stock that might not make decent returns overtime. - I think there will be another global crisis based on the basis that history is cyclical - what goes around comes around. I believe that there will be truculence in the market within the near future due to the current state of the presidency and the coming elections (a lot of uncertainty), however I do not believe we will see something like 2008 again for another decade or so. - The last financial crisis was due to the fact banks over lent to several unqualified holders and were unable to recoup their debts. The government bailouts did not help with the growing debt crisis that already existed prior to 2008. - Banks need to be logical and fair with their lending. The government should also better regulate the banks so that lending is monitor and doesn't run us into a debt crisis again. The debt created lasting effects within the economy which only exacerbated and prolonged the issue.
