Pursuant to itsplantobeginconstruction of228Garden Apartments, TwinLakes, throughitsmanagement, begannegotiationswithGreenAssociates,Inc.("Green") to supply and install carpeting.During thecourseofthese negotiations, Green estimated thatapproximately 19,000 to20,000 yardsof carpeting wererequired forthejob.Thereafter, theparties entered into a contact that Green would supply the necessary carpeting forthe228 apartments, and install it for atotal consideration of$87,600.00.In thecontract itself, no mention was made ofthe amount of carpeting to be installed.

Betweenthedateofthecontractand 18monthsthereafter, Greenpurchased large amounts ofcarpet to beused ontheTwin Lakes job from several carpet wholesalers.However, nocarpetwasinstalled becauseTwinLakes cancelled the contract.It became apparent atsomepoint that 19,000 to 20,000 yards ofcarpet was an overestimationand theactual figure needed was between 17,000 and 17,500yards.Greenbrought anactionagainstTwinLakesforbreach ofcontract.
