Communication barrier One of the problems that could arise from the training and hiring of a diverse population is communication barrier. When Goodwill engage workers whose do not speak language as the first language, there might be some communication difficulties leading to misunderstanding as well as reduced productivity. For instance, if the Goodwill manager give instruction to a worker to conduct a task and that employee does not understand the language he may end up doing it wrongly, which might lead to repetition, time wastage and reduced productivity. Opposition to change A diverse population is also bound to bring about the challenge of resistance to change. Diversity introduce new people who might not take change positively. Consequently, they reject any new idea that might not conform to what they know or want. If Goodwill fails to manage the opposition the large pool of diverse workers and trainees presents, it might not reap the benefits of diversity.
