THE COMPANY I CHOSE TO USE IN THE DIRECT PERSUASIVE IN "APPLE "

In this assignment, you will be asked to create a Company Selection Message. You have been assigned to a team based in part on your communication style, professional strengths, and shared interests. Now, you will select a compelling company to sustain your motivation throughout the semester. In this task, persuade your teammates to choose the company YOU want to study using the direct persuasive approach from class.

To convince your teammates, build credibility with specific claims that use examples and data from your research. Demonstrate audience awareness by framing your data to fit your team's needs, focusing on benefits (not just company features), and addressing potential concerns. Show the strong fit between your company and the team with thorough research and evidence-based claims.

The company must be US-based and publicly-traded. At least one member of your team must have a contact that works for the company and who is willing and able to respond to questions from your team throughout the project. You do not need to have a contact at the company for this message but having a contact at the company would further support your case. Consider these additional questions as you research your company and write your message:

How will the company interest the team? Will they easily find information when researching?

- Is it an industry leader? Has it seen rapid growth or contraction?

- In what ways is the company innovative?

- Does it currently operate in a foreign country?

Have public controversies arisen around the company in the last year?

-Does your research show source that demonstrate any negative image of the company?

- Controversies could include how the company addresses diversity, equity, and inclusion, how it has adapted to a changing economy, or how it has used technology to innovate its workforce or serve its customers post- pandemic.

- Your goal right now is not to recommend strategies to address these opportunities or challenges, but rather to help your team create a pool of possibilities to study as you advance through the project.

You should be able to obtain information on the bullet points above by conducting secondary research through both your company's website and the University of Arizona's library research databases. You should not attempt to ask the employees of the company these questions or conduct any other primary research.

Prepare your direct persuasive written message to your teammates to convince them that the company you wish to focus on for this semester (BCOM, MKTG, MGMT) is the best choice for your team. Remember to use business writing strategies to make your audience want to read your document:

Edit paragraphs to be between five and seven lines (not sentences) in length.

Use white space, headings, lists, and other information design tactics where appropriate to improve readability.

Use simple, everyday language to convey your meaning with clarity.

Write with concision. Make your voice more concise with fewer to-be verbs and prepositional phrases.

Only use words whose meaning you know; if you try to use a word that is unfamiliar, look it up or choose a different word. Avoid the thesaurus.

Use punctuation properly, especially commas; if you are unsure of where a comma belongs (or doesn't) in a sentence, Google it or ask a preceptor or your instructor for guidance.
