COMPARE OF MEANS (T-TEST) Women are more conservative and collectivistic to maintain social harmony and positive feelings among group members (Triandis et al., 1985). Hence, women are perceived to be more nationalistic and ethnocentric than men (Shankarmahesh, 2006). However, studies on the strength of national identity and consumer ethnocentrism between males and females show inconsistent results. Due to the inconsistent findings, this study aims to verify whether females have a stronger consumer ethnocentrism (CET) level than males. Data were collected from 40 respondents.
