Ethical decision-making models provide steps or instructions on how to make ethical decisions when presented with ethical dilemmas. According to Jungers and Gregoire (2013), there are two ethical decision making models which can be used in most counseling settings. The feminist model of ethical decision-making, developed by Hill, Glaser and Harden in 1995, "draws on a set of feminist philosophical assumptions and values" (Jungers & Gregoire, 2013, pg. 55). It often attends to emotions, intuition and collaboration. Welfel's (2010) model emphasizes the importance of referencing moral principles and professional codes of conduct, as well as consulting with colleagues (Jungers & Gregoire, 2013).
