• Please construct a legal status letter to a client. Remember that the purpose of a status letter is to let the client know what is going on in their case. You are simply conveying information from the attorney to the client.
• You will not likely need a specific template for this assignment, as you are just letting the client know what is happening. For this letter, assume you are representing John Franklin in his DUI case. The court has set his plea date on January 21 of next year. The status letter should give him the date, tell him where to go (use your own county courthouse for the address) and include at least one attachment. You may attach the Chronological Case Summary (CCS), which is the formal record of the date found at mycase.in.gov. You do NOT need to include the CCS, but your letter should show an attachment at the bottom.
