Complete this in Excel.
Suppose you inherited $100,000 and would like to grow your inheritance through stock trading and the stock market. You did some research and selected three stocks (three publicly traded company).
Step 1. Using excel, insert the information of your stock selection. A company stock is traded un a ticker symbol. It is a three or four alphabet symbol of a company
Step 2. Apportion the initial amount of your investment for the three stock tickers. Look up the price of the stock as of today, 4/8/2024. Calculate the number of stocks you will receive by dividing the amount of initial investment per stock by today's stock price. You will now see the number of shares you have bought (or invested).
Step 3. Look up the share price on Friday (4/12/2024) and Monday (4/15/2024) and enter it into your Excel file. On Friday, you will calculate the value of your investments. Multiple the #shares by the share price on Friday and do the same for Monday
Step 4. Provide a short written analysis of what has happened over the last week. In your analysis, with the rest of the decision of your team, what decision will you take? Keep the stocks, liquidate the stocks (all or partial), or re-invest into some other stock selection
