Conclusion for this paper.

There are lots of ways people could define control as however, according to lumen learning (n.d.) in a business setting, it means guiding the activities, employees, and processes of an organization to reach goals, prevent errors, and abide by the law. When it comes to controls there are different kinds of levels and organization. But a good manager can apply the best elements, based upon the needs and culture of the company to run successfully.

Control is among the four primary managerial functions while other are planning, organizing, and leading. Companies practice control using a set of financial policies. The financial policies may or may not be communicated to all but still they exist for all firms. Controls start with managing cash. For example: controls limit signing authority of bills, produce bills for outstation duty etc. "The general style of practicing organizational control is top-down approach. In this approach decisions are taken by high-level executives and are communicated to the lower-level employees of the organization" (Lumen learning n.d.) the main types of organizational control are known feedback, proactive and concurrent controls. In my opinion, all businesses need controls to help protect stockholder and good controls helps a company to raise funds and debt issuance. However, "the wrong controls may expose the firm to move errors and fraud. And employees will be frustrated if the controls are cumbersome." (Lumen learning n.d.)

While observing the production metrics the Lay Tracks must be concerned with an actual production metric specially from the Delaware production facility the utilization rate is only 49 % and total production 27000, the defect rate, downtime, scrap rate, shipping problems are at higher side .In addition to it after such a performance they are not concentrating in training the manpower, it is 3 hours per month .Delaware should immediately regroup itself and with proper planning and training of the employees they can reduce the gaps. The New Jersey, Maryland

utilization rate is in 70's which is a worry and Standard, Alaska and Texas are also not to promising.

Maryland has highest no of safety issues and its manufacturing cycle time is also at highest level. New Jersey and Alaska have high defect rates too. Safety incidents per employee at all the locations is a matter of concern. Alaska, New Jersey, and Delaware performance in terms of yield needs improvement.

Let's start with the Delaware production facility: The utilization rate is only 49 % and total production 27000, the defect rate, downtime, scrap rate, shipping problems are at higher side. In addition to it after such a performance they are not concentrating in training the manpower, it is 3 hours per month.

New Jersey production facility, the utilization rate is only 77.27 % and total production 42500, the defect rate, downtime, scrap rate, shipping problems, production cost are at higher side. The safety incidents per employee is 3% which is highest. In addition to it after such a performance they are not concentrating in training the manpower, it is 5 hours per month. Manufacturing cycle time is lowest. Production cost is lowest.Maryland productionfacilitythe utilization rate is only 78.18 % and total production 43000, the defect rate scrap rate, shipping problems are at higher side. The safety incidents per employee is 2.25%. Training of the manpower is 6 hours per month. Yield is 99% percent is good. Manufacturing cycle time is highest. Production cost is high.Alaska production facilitythe utilization rate is 82.73 % and total production 45500, the defect rate, downtime, scrap rate, shipping problems are at higher side. The safety incidents per employee is 1.90%. The training time and shipping problems are visible in table.Standard production facilitythe utilization rate is only 81.82 % and total production 45000, the defect ratescrap rate, shipping problems are at higher side. The safety incidents per employee is 1.5%. Training of the manpower is 8 hours per month. Yield is 98%. Production cost is high.

Texas production facilitythe utilization rate is highest 87.27 % and total production 48000, the defect rate scrap rate is at higher side. The safety incidents per employee is 2%. Training of the manpower is 7 hours per month. Yield is 97.50%. Manufacturing cycle time is lowest 12 hours. Production cost is highest.

The overall cost of production First, deviation is utilization rate. It is very important data as if a plant has 100 hours of time available for production & utilization rate is suppose 60 %, which is 60 hours out of hundred hours, plant was idle for 40 hours. This is opportunity lost.

Production cost: This is a metric which every firm tries to minimize because it improves the margin of profit. It's always important to pay attention to the cost of production it could save the company lots of money.

Manufacturing cycle Time: If it is 12 hours per vehicle then 2 vehicles can be produced in 24 hours of a day. Time is important so, how Lacks Tracks management spend their time will make make them better at what they do.

Defect rate/recall rate: This is a very common problem which increase rework and manufacturing costs. In order to avoid recall and defect rate lacks Tracks cycles management team can apply more effort to making a better production.

"The proper performance of the management control function is critical to the success of an organization." (Lumen Leaning n.d.) In management, there are varying levels of control and according to our course materials, we are going to be looking at two types of these controls process that could be used by Lacks Tracks management to attempt to current the deviations from standards at its plants, the Feedback controls and proactive controls are the two forms of controls that Lacks Tracks management might use to try to fix the departures from standards at the plants. By giving data on the system, performance feedback controls can monitor and fix any deviation. "Feedback controls occurs after an activity or process is completed. It is reactive" (Lumen learning n.d.)

Proactive controls are known for prevention. It helps with the problem and find a way to fit it. The entail anticipating possible issues and acting to address them before they happen. Proactive is also known for the unforeseen and unlikely incidents, such "as act of God" (Lumen learning n.d.) Proactive will be a good fit for Lacks Tracks management in order to remained successful.

The term "total quality management" (TQM) refer to a management strategy that emphasizes both product and service. A management system for a customer-focused organization that involves all employee in continual improvement. since one of the primary elements of TQM is continual improvement it's better for Lacks Tracks to invest more into the improvement area so, the company will continue to grow also, by lowering cost, it enhances customer happiness and boosting productivity.
