Consider identical balls A and B released from rest from same height. But ball A falls straight down, while ball B rolles to the ground on an incline. One classmate says that both balls will have exactly same speed at the bottom since both balls had same gravitational potential energy initially which later converted to same amount of kinetic energy, and if kinetic energies are the same, then the speeds are the same.
