Mario Rodriguez is a state-level purchasing agent who plays poker. He meets a vendor, Jay Roberts, who also enjoys poker. Jay gets Mario access to a prestigious private country club where Saturday night poker games are routinely played. Over time, stakes keep getting higher and higher. Money exchanges hands with Mario frequently winning. A membership to the country club and continued access to the poker game is also arranged by the vendor for the purchasing agent in the course of their relationship. As time goes on, Mario realizes that he is a much better poker player than Jay and that he has won quite a lot of money from him. He is also aware that he has a business relationship with the vendor on a daily basis.
