Pet Services Online System

ANIMAL WORLD Is one of the most popular Pet Store Chain in OMAN. They sell live pets, fish, aquariums

and other supplies like pet food, pet toys. They also offer other services like Pet Grooming, Pet Training

and Boarding Services. The company currently has only a static webpage for providing information to its

customers. Now it wants to create an online portal that allows customers to browse their services and

purchase them. The company has provided the following requirements for the system:

Customers should be able to create their account as part of registration so that they can log in$,$ view,

purchase various goods and services, and log out of the system. Customers should be able to book for

services of various types. The following services are offered. $1.$ Grooming services$-$ various types of

grooming include bathing and drying, nail trimming, hair trimming. $2.$ Training services $-$basic obedience

training, house training, specialized training $3.$ Pet Sitting $-$ hiring a pet sitter to stay at home for

companionship,$4.$ Pet Boarding $$ providing temporary housing for pets.

Customers should be able to search for animal details by type, or price range. Customers should be able

to search for product by category. Customers should be able to purchase animals and products, get

receipts and get the animal$/$product delivered to their address.

The Store$$s Inventory system should get an update of inventory levels and send the inventory status

message to the online system to prevent customers from purchasing more products than are available.

The Store employees should be able to view, update and delete products and services details.

The Store Managers should be able to get sales reports daily, weekly, and monthly product type wise and

overall.

Assignment Tasks

$1)$According to the creators of the Unified Modeling Language $($UML$),$ Grady Booch, Ivar Jacobson,

and James Rumbaugh, any modern object$-$oriented approach to developing information systems

must be use$-$case driven, architecture$-$centric, and iterative and incremental$($Dennis$,$ Wixom,

Tegarden and Seeman, $2015).$ Provide a comparative analysis of the different iterative and

incremental system development methodologies. Select an appropriate methodology for

developing the system mentioned above in an ObjectOriented environment. Justify your

selection citing how the methodology fits the scenario.

specification $($for any one of the use case$).$ Use case specification should be based on your

assumptions about the system.
