3. A body artist cutting a client's ear off, at their instigation, in honour of the painter Van Gogh.
4. Gouging deep scratches on a partner's back during consensual lovemaking; and
5. Punching a friend hard in the stomach during play fighting. How far, if at all, does consent provide a defence to potential non-fetal offence liability in each situation.
