Users travel at a velocity of 10 miles/hour. Packets are sent from the file server to the mobile hosts served by the FAs much more frequently than mobiles move between the FAs. (I.e., at least one packet is sent to a mobile station each time it moves between FAs)

a. If IETF mobile IP is used (non-optimal routing) what is the number of registration messages/ second received at the HA due to mobility management assuming an infinite bonding lifetime at the HA.

b. Under the same conditions how many mobility management messages/second are received by the HA if optimal routing is supported by the FS.
