Consider this opinion: There is no need to use stacks explicitly in programs today. A few decades ago, stack structures were famous when the programming languages did not support recursion and programs used stacks to implement recursion. Now, almost all languages support recursion and CPU speed and memory are not the bottlenecks any longer. So, I there really is no need to explicitly use stacks today. Your comments?
