Facilities and materials

childcare centre recognises the need for the children to be familiar and in tune with the natural environment. The inclusion of nature and the environment in the learning and development of the children is important to fostering a lifelong love of learning. The schedule and facilities of Childcare Centre reflects this. The design of our centres ensures a connection with nature is immediately apparent and is also suited to keep the children safe, happy, and engaged. Activities and facilities are also designed to be inclusive and accessible.

Maintenance and Upkeep

As a reflection of the health and safety policy of the centre, all facilities and equipment are maintained regularly. Outdoor areas are kept safe and monitored as well.

Toys, equipment and dress up clothes will be washed regularly (e.g., daily, after being mouthed by a child and after being handled by a child who is sick) Outdoor playground equipment is cleaned before and after the playtime by the necessary support staff. Surfaces will be cleaned with detergent and warm water after each activity and all surfaces cleaned thoroughly, daily. Floors in all rooms will be swept/vacuumed and washed each day. Areas contaminated with blood and bodily fluids will be cleaned.
