Considering a GSM network, we mentioned that the Broadcast Control Channels (BCH) act like the beacon frames of WiFi. If a GSM user device (i.e., a cellphone) misses a BCH message, how long will it have to wait until it receives the next BCH message? Comparing with the default beacon interval of 100 ms in WiFi,, in which one of these two technologies it takes more time to link with the network if you miss one beacon?
