About the Company " Algonquin Inc. is a warehousing operation supplying various products for the home and office (cleaning supplies, paper products (toilet paper, tissue), plastic products (garbage bags, sandwich bags) and more. There are seven warehouses in Ontario: Hamilton, Guelph, St. Catharine, Kitchener-Waterloo, London, Pickering, and Sudbury. The head office is in Toronto, where Operations, HR, Finance, Purchasing and Maintenance Managers are all located. " Regular Operations meetings occur daily with Operations Managers and Supervisors at each warehouse. Last year, an expansion project resulted in many new hires, and training has been lacking across the organization. Historically, Algonquin Inc. has a culture of distrust in management throughout all seven warehouse locations. They feel that the organization has made many promises since the expansion project, but it has not fulfilled any pledges. The most senior operations staff has been resistant to change long before the expansion project. There has been a higher-than-average turnover of new hires in the past eight months. The organization introduced Lean Six Sigma as a continuous improvement methodology six months ago, and it has completed some small-scale Lean Six Sigma projects
