Construction costs of pipelines vary, as do the cost of stations depending on the type of equipment and materials used, site purchase price, locale, time of year, and specified workmanship. In this assignment, you will construct a table based on the relative economics of three different pipelines (12, 16, and 20) and the associated pump stations.
Requirements:
Font: Arial, size 11.
Centre alignment for all columns except column 1.
Use the same column width for columns 2, 3, and 4.
Table must fit into the portrait format in order to print on one page.
All rows must be the same height except the last row, which is double the regular row size. Centre the data for height and width.
All calculations will have $ signs and appear in bold.
All numbers must show two decimal places to represent cents
Part 2: Calculate the Total Yearly Operating Cost and Cost per Barrel
Each station is manned by five employees who each receive a wage of $30/hr and work 10 hours per day, five days per week.
The operating costs for the initial station is $57,000, the intermediate stations are $40,000 each, and the delivery terminal is $30,000 flat for each of the cases.
The cost of fuel and lube oil is $40,000 per station, maintenance costs are $129,000 for the initialisation, and an additional $17,000 for each intermediate pump station.
The pipelines will depreciate at 2% per annum and the stations at 4% per annum. Ad Valorem taxes are 1% of the total investment.
