Consumer researcher, Paco Underhill, states, all aspects of business are going to need to anticipate how mens and womens social roles are changing, and the future is going to belong to whoever gets there first. Please give an example of a product, product category or brand where women previously were the predominate shoppers and explain how the marketer has done a good job of making men feel comfortable without alienating women.
We have discussed how the population within the USA is aging. We've mentioned a few ways in which products will need to change to accommodate this. Explain some of the ways and then give your own real world examples of how you see this happening (alternatively, explain ways in which you see changes that need to be made but that havent happened yet). If you have trouble thinking of how products or services will need to change to accommodate the aging population, ask someone in your life who is elderly about changes they would like to see (or problems they have).
One of our previous lectures was on affect. We know that very often, the objective of an ad is not to make you think (cognition), but rather to make you feel. Describe one advertisements you have seen that causes you (or other consumers) to feel (this can be feeling happy, sad, angry, nostalgic, excited, fearful, etc. you choose which you want to talk about). Now tell me why the marketer wants to create that feeling while you watch the ad. Dont use ads Ive shown you as your examples.
