Your client has asked you for two key deliverables. First, your client has requested a report with insights on how they can better predict and address issues around employee well-being and retention. Second, based on these findings, your client has also requested you to design an analytics dashboard prototype, which would provide the Chief People Officer and her team with relevant information. Specific Requirements You need to complete four key steps for this assignment: Step 1: Choose your client organisation You are free to choose any organisation you want to focus on for your assignment as your "client". You are strongly encouraged first to do some preliminary background research to determine how much information is publicly available about the organisation (particularly about its people strategy and HR practices). You may wish to select an organisation from an industry sector that you are familiar with or want to learn more about. Step 2: Conduct the client analysis As part of your client analysis, you should first establish a strong understanding of the organisation, their mission, and business strategy. The company website, annual reports, and strategy documents could be a good place to start.

Next, analyse your client's people strategy and workforce needs and identify the key enablers and key impediments to employee well-being and retention for your client. Some of these might be organisation-specific, others might be common across the industry. Therefore, complementing your organisation analysis with some industry research would be valuable. Finally, from among the key enablers and challenges you have identified, please select three of each that based on your analysis are of highest relevance and importance for your client. Note down the justification for each of your choices (including supporting sources/references). Step 3: Design the dashboard prototype Your list of key enablers and challenges identified in the previous step should inform your choice and justification of the key metrics to be displayed in the dashboard. Then, consider and justify the rationale for how these metrics should be presented, based on the target stakeholder(s), their information needs, and general visualisation good practices. Also consider the data table(s) and columns that would be required to underpin the dashboard (e.g., some of your proposed metrics might be sourced from a single data column while others might be calculated based on several columns). Finally, you should do a corresponding visual mock-up of a Tableau dashboard. Please note you are not expected to develop a working analytics dashboard as part of this assignment (though you are welcome to do so if you wish). Step 4: Your final deliverable from this assignment is a business report which must contain the following sections: 1. Background Briefly describe your client organisation and their mission. Analyse your client's people strategy and workforce needs (e.g., organisation size, structure, strategic roles, and skills, etc.) and how these enable the realisation of the client's mission. 2. Strategic analysis Identify THREE key enablers and THREE key challenges related to employee well-being and retention for your client. Justify why these enablers and challenges are of particular importance for your client, considering your preceding background analysis. 3. Recommendations Identify and justify the key people metrics that the client should track to stay informed about the issues identified in your strategic analysis. Describe the key data required to capture these metrics, including the data table(s) and columns required to capture or calculate each metric. 4. Dashboard prototype Attach dashboard mock-up screens, following from your recommendations above. For each dashboard view, explain its purpose and justify the design rationale (including target stakeholder, choice of metrics presented in each view, and choice of chart/visualisation types).
